None of that is damage; it is just usage, the same way a 25,000-mile-a-year car needs more oil changes.

Habits that stretch the hardware

A few free adjustments cut wear meaningfully. Batch trips so the door is not cycling four times in ten minutes; heat buildup in the opener motor is a real thing in a 100-degree Oklahoma garage. Use the passage door for quick trips to grab something from the car. Keep the tracks clear of bikes and trash cans, since main-entrance garages accumulate stuff exactly where the door needs clearance. And keep up the monthly safety reversal tests; a door that cycles constantly around kids and pets should have its protection verified constantly too.
